Title: The Swiss Family Robinson

Starring: John Mills, Dorothy McGuire, James MacArthur, …

Rating: You have to see this!

This review is about a family that was shipwrecked and made their way to a little island where they strived to survive. Watch in suspense when the two eldest, Fritz and Ernst, leave their handmade treehouse to go explore the island and find pirates holding two men captive. Ernst and Fritz only manage to untie the young boy and escape, later finding out that she is a young girl and both Fritz and Ernst, fall in love. On their way home to their family, the girl, Roberta and them have to swim through a swamp full of dangerous creatures and nearly get eaten by a bunch of wild animals. The two boys, still fighting for Roberta’s love, and Roberta finally find their way home and didn’t realize that they led the pirates right to them. They prepare boobytraps and coconut bombs and scare the pirates off only to realize that there are more coming. Watch the suspenseful movie to find out what happens next.

I love this movie and so does my family. Even if you watch it more than once it still gives you the chills. My favorite part is when they finally get home they have a big celebration and the boys fight over Roberta.

I recommend this movie to people in fourth grade and up. This is a great movie for you and your family together. Again it is a really great movie, you have to watch it!

Title: The Emperor’s New Groove

Starring: Eartha Kitt, Patric Warburton, David Spade, John Goodman, Wendie Malick

Rating: You have to see this!

The Emperor’s New Groove is about a Emperor named Kuzco who bossed everyone around and acted super cocky. One day Kuzco fired Yzma, his administrator. Out of anger, Yzma hatched a plan and turned Kuzco into a llama. So Kuzco has to find a way to turn back into his normal self.

I really enjoyed the adventure of Kuzco trying to figure out how to turn back to normal. The characters in the the movie are very smart, cool, and witty. My feedback to the movie would be to add more characters. Another piece of feedback would be show more of the antagonist.

I would definitely recommend this movie to you because of all the action and story. I would also recommend this to you because you will immediately like the characters in the story. The last reason of why I would recommend this movie to is because of the effort and greatness put into the movie. I give this movie a 10/10.

Boom, Then the crazy Australian seagull comes flying in from the window with Marlin and Dory in his mouth. While mayhem took place in the dentist office, Nemo was dumped down the drain. Will Nemo survive?

One thing that I really liked about the movie was the humor. My face hurt so bad because of how much this movie made me laugh and smile. It was super suspenseful and intriguing. Also, the animation was super good for a movie that was made in 2003.

Title: The Princess Diaries

Starring: Anne Hathaway, Julie Andrews

Rating: You should see this!

In the movie The Princess Diaries, there is a girl and she is living with her mom. She always rides her scooter to school. One day her mom said that her grandma wants to meet the girl so she does and she said, ”I am the queen and I want you to be the princess.” So they have a meeting and she picks if she wants to be a princess or not. Watch the movie and find out what happens.

I think that it was good and not so much like a little kid movie. It is funny and very interesting how she learns on the way. It also is cool because her mom does art and it looks so cool.

I think that this is for girls and boys because my dad liked it more than I did. I think that if you like princess you will like it. If you are a boy you would like it, and maybe in the end you would not like so much, but you may.

Title: Chicken Little

Starring: Zach Braff, Joan Cusack, and more

Rating: You have to see this!

At the start of the movie, Chicken Little says that the sky is falling. He also goes to school. He wants to play baseball. He wins all of the games. They wind up finding a lot of aliens. Read the book to find out what happens!

I liked that it was about animals and aliens. I liked that they thought Chicken Little was crazy, but he was telling the truth. Last, I liked that it was about him and his friends.

I think this is for boys and girls because it has all gender and it has lots of animals. I would also recommend this to boys and girls because it is funny. Last, I like it because it is about aliens, too.

A rat named Ratatouille and his family are living in the sewers. Ratatouille loves to cook, though his father doesn’t allow him to. Ratatouille and his family go out into the world, to look for food. Ratatouille and his friend sneak into a house, and try to steal the food from the old lady living there. Ratatouille sees a cookbook, and runs over to it. He opens the book and his friend asks, “Ratatouille, what are you doing?”

They soon get caught by the old lady, and she takes out a gun. She shoots, but they manage to escape. Ratatouille gets lost, and makes a small boat then floats away through the river. He starts to get hungry, so looks for a place to eat. He then finds a restaurant and sneaks through the back door. When an unprofessional chef gets a new job at the restaurant, and opens the back door to empty the trash, Ratatouille takes his chance to run through the doorway. Ratatouille finds a hiding place inside a chef’s hat, and the unprofessional chef puts the hat on, Ratatouille pulls his hair to help the unprofessional chef cook. Will Ratatouille be caught, or will he survive and help the chef? Watch the movie to figure out.

My personal favorite thing about Ratatouille is that he has confidence in himself and the story is humorous. This animated story has lots of adventurous scenes, which is amazing! My favorite part was when the chef realizes he is not controlling his cooking skills, and that there is a rat in his hat. Watch the movie to find your favorite part!

I think I would recommend this to people who love animals, or anyone! It has a lot of interesting parts in the movie, but it could be a little bit better. It is very humorous, and unique. Watch the movie and see if you agree with me.

Title: Hercules

Starring: Tate Donavan, James Woods, Susan Egan

Rating: You have to see this!

This movie is based on Greek myths. It is about Zeus’s son Hercules who is a demi-god and has super strength. The movie follows his life and adventures and how he became famous on earth. This is a musical, but it is not a straight traditional musical – most of the songs are sung by the Greek chorus. Along the way, Hercules must battle against Hades who is trying to kill him so he can take his brother Zeus’s place. Hercules also meets Meg who is his love interest, but she also is a strong and sassy character. Meg has a secret about who she works for that is a huge part of the movie.

I like Meg as a character. She is not a damsel in distress. she says “I can defend myself, Wonderboy.” She is super sassy, and I enjoy that this movie has a strong girl character. I also like how Hades is very sarcastic and how when he loses his temper his clothes and hair flame up. His henchmen – Pain and Panic – have personalities that match their names and they are funny.

One thing I don’t like about this movie is how it changes Greek myths. It makes Hercules the son of Zeus and Hera so he is a full god that loses his powers. In the myth, Hercules is the son of Zeus and a mortal so he is a real demi-god and Hera is out to kill him. However, I understand they did this to make it a family movie.

I recommend this movie to people who like comedy and animated movies. If you’re a big fan of Greek myths, some of the changes might bother you, but overall this is a fun, family movie with a strong female lead.

Title: WALL-E

Starring: Elissa Knight (EVE) Ben Burtt (WALL-E)

Rating: You should see this!

In the movie, WALL-E, all humans left Earth on a spaceship called the Axiom. The Earth was absolutely covered in trash and the WALL-E’s were supposed to clean it up. Unfortunately, all of the WALL-E’s broke down, and the movie was about the last functioning WALL-E.

One day, a spaceship landed and deployed a bunch of robots. WALL-E fell in love with a beautiful robot named EVE. Suddenly, a sandstorm hit and WALL-E led EVE back to his house to wait it out. When he showed her a plant he had found, EVE took it from him and went into lockdown mode for weeks. Eventually, a spaceship came to pick her up, but WALL-E couldn’t bear to see her leave. Can WALL-E find EVE and save the Axiom?

I thought WALL-E was a good movie. I think they did a nice job of letting the watcher know what was going on even though there was very little speech. Also, I liked the graphics and romance in the movie.

I would recommend this to people age eight and above because there was some cartoon violence and romance. I think the movie could be good for a family movie night. There was a little bit of humor and a good story line, making it a perfect movie to enjoy with others.

Title: Cars 3

Starring: Owen Wilson, Cristela Alonzo, Chris Cooper

Rating: You have to see this!

Cars 3 is about a car that talks named Lightning McQueen. He is the star racer winning tons of races. Then one day a rookie named Jackson Storm beats Lightning McQueen. Then the old racers get replaced with new ones. And then Lightning is coming in worse places, so Lightning decides to go to a training center to train. He then visits another person who teaches him to race and then he goes to The Piston Cup, the final race.

What I liked about the movie was how he tried to get fast again to beat Jackson Storm and also the length of the movie was just right. What I did not like was some parts were a little boring, but most of it was a good movie.

I would recommend this movie to everyone because it’s “G” rated and sometimes you don’t expect what’s going to happen next. Kids would probably like it because it’s talking cars. Overall, I would rate it a 10/10.

Title: Alice in Wonderland

Starring: Kathryn Beaumont, Alan Rickman, Verna Felton, Bill Thompson

Rating: You have to see this!

What Alice in Wonderland is about is a little girl named Alice. Alice was with her mom at the beginning of the movie reading, but she thought it was boring, so she had an idea of her own. Alice got lost in her wonderland. She was finding a way to get home, but the Queen of Hearts got Alice in all this racket and trapped in her world. It was fun, but then the fun was turned into a big problem for Alice.

What I did not like was that Alice was very rude to the flowers and catapiller. Why is because they thought she was something she wasn’t. Also, in the movie, the Queen of Hearts was very angry and when she was angry it was hard to understand what she was saying.

What I liked about the movie is that Alice makes friends. She also finds a away back home to her mom. Next, Alice has a very brave and big hearted. She would never give up on trying to get home, and her wonderland was very silly and fun.

I would recommend this movie to all ages because it was fun and memorable for all the kids who watch it. Also, the movie is a very meaningful movie about a brave little girl.

Another reason why I love this movie is because it brought me back some memories with my sister. My sister and I always watch this movie when we have sleepovers together. Sometimes we would write down a summary together about the movie.

101 Dalmations is about a family of dogs. Cruella DeVil is trying to get the puppy’s fur to wear it. She gets other people to do the work of stealing the puppies. The owners try to get their puppies back. They call the police and asked them for help. Cruella DeVil tries to hide the puppies. The farm animals help the dogs get their puppies. Watch the rest of the movie to find out what happens next to the endangered puppies and their family.

I liked this movie because it was exciting to see all of the movie and all of the exciting parts. I also liked the ending. The thing I did not like is when all of the puppies get stolen because it was sad. I also did not like that Cruella DeVil was so evil.

I recommend this movie to eight year olds and older because it would be too sad for younger kids. This movie was so great you have to see it!
